ECS employees from all over the world gather yearly for training and fellowship. This event takes place at ECS Headquarters in Evansville, IN.
45th Anniversary Celebration
ECS employees gathered to celebrate our 45th Anniversary. Fellowship, food, and fun were had by all during this special celebration.
National Intern Day
ECS is grateful for the contributions that our interns make year-round. This event includes a grill-out to should our appreciation for everyone’s hard work.
Harvest Days Tailgate
Fall is a time to celebrate some of our successes and enjoy the beautiful weather. Our harvest days tailgate included football throwing, cornhole, and fellowship all with lots of great food!
Christmas Toy Drive
Christmas is a time of giving and celebration. ECS hosted a toy drive and collected boxes of games, toys, and activities that were donated to a local charity for children and families in need. ECS matched the value of the children’s items with a check presented to the charity for additional Christmas gifts needed.
Christmas Lunch
In lieu of an evening offsite employee Christmas party last year, we held our party during the workday at our facility. All our employees were able to attend and enjoyed the games, food, gifts, and overall camaraderie.
Community Support
ECS strives to support the communities in which we live and work. We were proud to sponsor an Eagle Scout project for the son of one of our employees, Mark Randall. Isaac Randall is one step closer to becoming an Eagle Scout. Congratulations Isaac!
ECS Scholarship
ECS sponsored our second annual scholarship for graduating high school students starting their college careers in the engineering field. Our selection committee chose this year’s winner, James Sprinkle from a lengthy list of bright future stars!
First Aid Training
Safety is given high priority at ECS. Among our regular safety training, we recently held a hands-on class to train our employees on CPR and first aid skills.
Food Truck
To celebrate some recent company successes, ECS hosted a food truck for lunch. We had a beautiful day to eat some delicious, unique food at the makeshift lunch tables set up in our manufacturing area.
HS Job Shadow
ECS places value on giving back to our community. One of the ways we do this is to give guidance to young people who are considering a career in engineering. We hosted a large group of local high school students for a “job shadowing day” where our engineers gave informational presentations about engineering careers followed by hands-on demonstrations of projects and technology typically used in our field.
Luau
Management asked a small committee of our project engineers to plan a recent celebration event. They chose a Luau theme complete with custom Hawaiian shirts containing ECS logos & other engineering symbols, luau food, games, and some pretty cool gifts given out in a silent auction where all employees “bid” on their most coveted items.
Management Grill out
ECS’s two Vice Presidents grilled and served burgers with some summertime dishes to show their appreciation to our employees.
Otters Game
Our annual ECS outing at the local ballpark was enjoyed again by our employees and their families. Watching a professional game in the second-oldest baseball park in the country is always a treat!
UL Training
When ECS became a UL-certified panel fabrication facility, several of our design engineers and electrical technicians attended a very informative training course to learn certification requirements and what sets a UL shop apart from the others.
Volunteer Work
ECS gives back to our community in many ways. A group of our employees pooled our handyman skills to help a local charity organization expand its administrative offices.
Wellness Staff Meeting
Several years ago, ECS started an annual “Wellness Challenge” where we break employees into teams for a friendly competition. Teams gain points for a nutritious diet, exercise, mental wellness, and other healthy practices. This year’s kickoff meeting began with group calisthenics!
Ice Cream Social
I scream! You scream! Everyone at ECS screams for Ice Cream! Who doesn’t like ice cream in the summer? ECS hosts an Ice Cream Social in August for all employees!
Pumpkin Carving Contest
Our employees go all in on our Halloween Pumpkin Carving Contest! We may be grown-ups but who doesn’t love a pumpkin carving contest on Halloween?
T.R.E.K. Summer Experience
ECS is a proud sponsor of this special program in 2023. The T.R.E.K. Summer Experience is a hands-on introduction to fields associated with architecture/engineering, manufacturing/construction, media communications, culinary, computer science, and transportation careers.
Fire Safety Training
ECS was honored to work with the local Fire Inspector on our Fire Safety Training for the team!
ECS Solutions in Evansville, IN has made the list as one of the Best Places to Work in Indiana for the 4th year in a row. This is the 19th year for the annual program created by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group.
The Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Indiana, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings. The group oversees similar programs in 25 other states.
To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
Winners were selected from four categories: small companies of between 15 and 74 U.S. employees; medium companies of between 75 and 249 U.S. employees; large companies of between 250 and 999 U.S. employees; and major companies with 1,000 or more U.S. employees. Out-of-state parent companies were eligible to participate if they met the 15 full-time employee threshold in Indiana.
To determine the Best Places to Work in Indiana, companies from across the state entered a two-part survey process. The first aspect consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience and accounted for some 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.
