Controls Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical or Computer Engineer to join our team, specializing in Control and Information Systems for manufacturing environments. This is an intermediate-level position, ideal for candidates with several years of hands-on engineering experience in technical manufacturing projects of varying complexity.
In this role, you will work both independently and collaboratively to deliver high-impact technical solutions across diverse industrial settings. You’ll be involved in all phases of project execution — from design and development to commissioning and client support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and implement control and information systems using both new and existing technologies
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and system architecture diagrams
- Provide on-site support for equipment installation and system commissioning at client facilities
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and technical teams throughout project lifecycles
- Participate in technical problem-solving and ensure successful project delivery in a variety of manufacturing environments
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- Hands-on experience designing and programming industrial control and information systems that include PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networking
- Field experience implementing, commissioning, and troubleshooting control systems in manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with technologies such as process instrumentation, variable speed drives, motion control systems, and batch control systems
- Understanding of ISA-88 standards and batch management software is a plus
- Experience in process industries such as chemical, food & beverage, oil & gas, or pharmaceuticals is preferred
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or Manufacturing Technology (or a related technical field)
