Key Job Responsibilities
- Design, development, testing and implementation of control and information systems that utilize new and existing technology to deliver robust solutions in a wide variety of industrial environments
- Develop technical specifications and other technical documents for use on client projects
- Lead the equipment installation and commissioning phases of projects at client facilities
- Provide controls engineering support to industrial clients
- Foster and maintain client relationships; maintain and record client communications
- Work with resources, such as vendors and sub-contractors to provide necessary project deliverables
Experience Required
- 5 or more years’ experience working on control systems in industrial environments
- Considerable experience with logic development using PLCs to solve complex problems in industrial control
- Experience with industrial HMI and SCADA systems
- Hands-on experience with AC and DC drives experience
- Working mechanical knowledge of applying drive systems, fluid controls, pneumatics, sensors instruments and other field components
- Working knowledge of industry standards for safety, power quality and circuit protection
- Knowledge of Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and other safety regulations required for applying control systems in industrial applications

- Proven ability to quickly understand technology and conditions, thoroughly analyze complex problems and effectively assimilate information to reach independent decisions that resolve issues at hand
- Recognized creative and innovative thought leadership with ability to act as a change agent and bring value to customers and projects
- Established subject matter expertise with ability to teach multiple technologies or industry processes
- High focus on establishing priorities and managing work efficiently across multiple projects by a combination of working independently and delegating to other team members when possible
Knowledge Needed
- Significant hands-on experience designing, developing and programming control and information systems for manufacturing applications
- Extensive hands-on field experience implementing, commissioning and troubleshooting control and information systems for industrial applications
- High competence with advanced programming and commissioning complex systems containing industrial controllers, computers and networking equipment across multiple platforms and languages
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing, automation, industrial controls and information systems
Education
Engineering/Technology B.S. Degree
